Reach for the Stars

This is for Creative Scrappers sketch #224, I just loved working on this sketch! The little girl is my now grown Goddaughter at our wedding years ago. I have such a love for this photo,  it is one of those rare moments that are just magical and I have yet to tire of scrapping it!!

The flower is made with white cardstock and my own crazy mist mix.   I also colored the title and stars with a mixture of my own colored mists, they are so much prettier irl!  Paper is Websters.

Be Fierce!

I created this for the sketch challenge at Creative Scrapper's sketch #223. This is my great nephew impressing Auntie with his muscles! I did rotate the sketch to accommodate the vertical photo. The metallic paper behind the photo is a piece of card stock from my mist spray box it is really reflective in the photo, but it has some really cool color variations in it, and I love the way it is curled and uneven/ I made the brown flower, with a pattern from McGills. I know that the trend is to use small pictures and leave white space but that is just not my thing. i want the photo to be the focal point, after all that is the whole purpose,
(to me anyway). I have never been good at following the masses I guess!

Go Fish!

This is my Dad and Krissy playing go fish the night before our wedding (1993) It has long been a favorite picture, even tho it is out of focus. I think it just adds to the charm! I did this for the challenge at the Paper Mixing Bowl this month. The theme is family game night so I just had to scrap it! I tried to do a clean and simple LO but my shabby chic heart just coudn't resist a few shabby touches! Many thanks to the wonderful girls at the Paper Mixing Bowl for your awesome challenges, and sweet comments!
